A group from Rodbourne Cheney Primary School have visited Swindon Food Collective to learn about how it supports Swindon families.
Each pupil even took a donation to help the charity.
The school recently became a registered provider of food bank vouchers which families can exchange for food at the food bank.
Lisa Davies, principal at the school, said: “Rodbourne Cheney Primary School has a great sense of community and as a result we want our children to have a sound understanding of how they can help and support others, as well as receiving support from their community if they ever need it.
“The Swindon foodbank is a fantastic organisation that helps many Swindon families, and by taking groups of children to visit, we provide them with a greater understanding of the work the charity and volunteers do.”
