TOOTHILL: Robert Boston-Thomas, 49, of Stamford Close, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Wharf Green and failing to surrender to the court.

He was fined £90 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge. The cash was deemed paid by time served in the cells.

PENHILL: Michael Jefferies, 30, of Cricklade Road, admitted stealing headphones, a Bluetooth speaker and Jack Daniels whiskey from Tesco and interfered with a motor vehicle intending to steal.

He was sentenced to a 12 month community order with a drug rehabilitation requirement. He must pay £88 compensation to Tesco and £175 in costs and surcharge.

SWINDON: Lee Enticott, 35, of Trowbridge Close, admitted assaulting a woman by beating. He was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £106 in costs and surcharge.

OLD TOWN: Jason Shepperd, 33, of Bath Road, pleaded guilty to stealing a TV and damaging a fire escape door in Tesco.

He was given a 12 month community order with a drug rehabilitation requirement. Shepperd must pay £100 compensation.

BADBURY PARK: Jimmy Lowe, 24, of Ballyack Close, has been charged with possession with intent to supply more than 800g of cannabis, being concerned in the supply of cannabis and possession of a zombie knife.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Swindon Crown Court on January 24 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

SWINDON: Ryan Hobbs, 29, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to possession of a small locking knife and stealing two bottle of aftershave from Boots.

He was jailed for six months, as it was his second knife offence and magistrates saw no reason not to impose the mandatory minimum sentence.

Hobbs must pay £64 compensation to Boots.

PENHILL: David Hopkins, 51, of Cleverton Court, has been charged with causing GBH with intent. He was bailed to appear before Swindon Crown Court on January 24.

SWINDON: Martin Morgan, 34, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to the theft of two Yankee candles worth £125 from Boots.

He was fined £60 and ordered to pay a £90 victim surcharge, deemed paid by time served. He was made subject to a 12 month community order with a requirement to complete up to 20 rehabilitation activity days.

NYTHE: Joshua Brackenbury, 20, of no fixed address, admitted having an eight inch kitchen knife when he was stopped on The Drive, Nythe, on December 27.

He was jailed for 16 weeks and ordered to pay a £122 victim surcharge. The knife was forfeit and will be destroyed.

ROYAL WOOTTON BASSETT: Rowell Bramble, 31, of Queens Road, has been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and being concerned in supplying cannabis. He was granted unconditional bail to appear before Swindon Crown Court on January 24 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

ELDENE: Christopher Howard, 40, of Kennedy Drive, admitted an assault by beating. He was jailed for 18 weeks, with magistrates citing his record of offences and his failure to respond to previous court orders.

He must pay a £122 victim surcharge.

PINEHURST: Louis Mundy, 21, of Hornbeam Court, pleaded guilty to careless driving, failing to stop at the scene of an accident and failing to report a crash.

He had been behind the wheel of a Honda Civic on June 24 last year when he hit a Toyota on Cricklade Road.

He was fined £300 and docked 10 penalty points. Magistrates ordered costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge.

TOWN CENTRE: Carl Booth, 40, of Spring Close, admitted making a threat to kill another man and committing an offence while subject to a crown court suspended sentence for a previous assault.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Swindon Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
