A GREAT-great grandmother has celebrated her 100th birthday with friends, family and a birthday card from the Queen.
Salisbury resident Kathleen Nash turned 100-years-old on January 9, and celebrated the milestone with an afternoon tea party at South Wilts Cricket Club, attended by more than 50 friends and family members.
The occasion was also marked by special deliveries, as Kathleen received her birthday message from the Queen and a telegram from a Secretary of State.
According to one of her daughters, Jacqui Wardley, she was "overwhelmed" with the number of presents, flowers and cards she received.
Kathleen has three children, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, making five generations present at her birthday.
A "tot of whisky before bed" is the secret to a long life, according to the centenarian.
