TRAFFIC was queueing on a major motorway during rush-hour after a multi-vehicle crash.
The accident happened on the westbound carriageway of the M62 at around 8.34am, between junction 25 (Brighouse) and junction 24 (Ainley Top).
The crash was "damage only", with no injuries, according to a police spokesperson.
Some of the cars had moved to the hard shoulder early on, but lane one (of four) was blocked by a remaining vehicle.
Lane two was also closed and traffic was held while the situation was dealt with.
All lanes reopened at 9.01am, but queues stretched back to Hartshead services, which is between junction 26 (M606) and junction 25 (Brighouse), at one point.
