A BAN on anti-social behaviour (ASB) in a problem area comes into play this evening.
Police have enacted a "Dispersal Notice" around the Kings Meadow area, on Raikes Lane, in Birstall.
They will be able to move on from the area anyone involved in ASB.
It is linked to ongoing issues with ASB in the area.
The notice will give both Police Officers and Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) the legal power to direct anyone involved in this kind of behaviour away from the area.
Failing to follow such a direction is an offence and can lead to arrest.
This will remain in place for a 48 hour period and may be subject to further authorisations.
Officers will be patrolling over the next few weeks to deal with any issues and other work is ongoing with partner agencies to tackle issues at this location.
