If you’re still looking for a Mother's Day present then Swindon Borough Council might have just the solution.
Following the sell-out success of last year’s event, the council-owned Lydiard Park is hosting another Mothering Sunday Afternoon Tea on March 22.
Priced at £21.95 per person, the offer includes access to the house and walled garden as well as the afternoon tea itself.
The event includes a glass of prosecco or presse on arrival along with hand-cut sandwiches, a selection of pastries, savoury canapes and unlimited tea and coffee.
Accompanying the afternoon tea will be harpist Christine Kinder, who will create a relaxing atmosphere with the music.
The event starts from 2pm and is held in the Luxborough Suite of Lydiard House. It was fully booked last year and visitors are encouraged to make a reservation as soon as possible.
Bookings can be made by calling 01793 464644. For more information visit lydiardpark.org.uk
