SUPERFANS of singer Taylor Swift can party at a club night completely dedicated to the pop sensation.

London DJ Dave Fawbert will play a solid four-hour set packed with back-to-back Swift songs, at the O2 Academy in East Oxford.

His Swiftogeddon night is touring across the country, and Oxford is currently the last date on the list, on Saturday, May 16.

He told the Oxford Mail: "I'm a huge Swiftie fan and have been for years.

"I thought even if it didn't work, it would be such a good laugh even just for my own enjoyment."

He debuted the nights at sell-out events in London and Manchester last year, recalling how the crowds 'erupted' when her best-known hits blasted out around the venues.

Taylor Swift herself, whose fans are known as Swifties, even commented on a photo of one of the nights.

She wrote on Instagram: "WHAT!!!!!!!! This is amazing!!!!"

Mr Fawbert, 38, added: "People know every song and every lyric - I think when you become a Swiftie, you go all in.

"She's a brilliant artist and the best songwriter of her generation in my eyes, without a doubt.

"I think some people dismiss her as 'just a pop star' but that's not really what she's about.

"She is a brilliant observational songwriter, with such an eye for detail, great melodies and the production is always interesting."

The DJ and writer has long-worked in the music industry and has staged various club nights, from power ballads to reggae.

He has seen Taylor Swift four times live, attending two tour dates within the space of two nights when she played at Wembley Stadium in 2018.

The vast majority of the set is original Swift songs, with a few extended remixes merged in.

Mr Fawbert said the first gig in London 'sold like crazy' and, by pure chance, the date he had booked the venue for ended up being the same date Swift released her new album.

The 30-year-old singer has seven albums to her name, featuring huge hits including Shake it Off and I Knew You Were Trouble.

Swiftogeddon's 2020 tour features 17 dates starting with a sell-out night this Friday, in Leeds.

Mr Fawbert said he has played at the O2 Academy in Cowley Road 'many times'.

He added: "Oxford is a fantastic city, I have friends who went to university there.

"I know it [the Oxford date] is during an exam term but I'm hoping the students can just sack it off for a night and come."

London, Bristol and Birmingham are among the other venues within reach for Oxfordshire fans.

Swiftogeddon runs from 11pm until 3am and tickets cost £7.90.
