ICE could cause problems for commuters around the town on Wednesday morning.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for icy conditions in Swindon which is in place from midnight until 10am.
A spokesman said: "Expect some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces. There will probably be some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths."
Temperatures will range from six to two degrees Celsius. The skies will be cloudy for much of the day, with sunshine peeking out from behind cover before the clouds clear around 2pm.
Swindon is missing out on the snowfall which is forecast over Wales, Northern Ireland and much of Scotland and north-west England throughout the morning.
A separate weather warning is in place for the disruption that the snow could cause over most of the country and will last for the same amount of time as the ice warning.
