RESIDENTS of Trowbridge are being invited to learn more about fair trade in the next week or so.

The town's Fairtrade Fortnight is running to Sunday, March 8 with a variety of events taking place.

Steve Oldrieve, Chair of the Fairtrade Group says” We are really excited about all the events we have planned this year and hope that the people of Trowbridge will take this opportunity to come and learn more about fair trade.”

Trowbridge has held Fairtrade status for the past ten years since the movement was formed.

On Tuesday, Angharad Hopkinson, a Fairtrade speaker from London, visited St John's RC School in Wingfield Road.

On Saturday, March 7 two events will be held between 10am and 12 noon at Wesley Road Methodist Church and at Holy Trinity Church in Stallard Street.
