Swindon Central Library is hosting author and journalist Amelia Abraham as part of LGBT History Month.

Ameila has written on the subject of LGBTQ+ identity politics, for the Guardian, the Observer and the New Statesman, among others.

She will visit the library on March 17 between 7pm and 8.30pm, share her personal journey and discuss the issues facing the LGBTQ+ community today as well as her recent book ‘Queer Intentions’.

Community outreach librarian Sara Rigby, said: “As a library service we are one of a few places that welcomes anyone, irrespective of gender, age, ability or beliefs to name but a few.

“This should be a fantastic event, learning more about Amelia’s experiences and generating a discussion regarding LGBTQ+ life in 2020.”

Booking is required and tickets are £5 each.
