Climate campaigners are doing some spade work in a bid to help the rangers at Coate Water County Park.
Swindon Climate Action Network is helping to plant trees ready for spring to add more greenery to the park, which only has three full-time rangers.
A spokesperson for the organisation said: “Coate Water was described to me by one of the rangers as a social asset for the people of Swindon.
“Sadly, due to cuts in council funding, there are now only three full-time rangers which affects their good work.
"Hence SCAN are supporting the Rangers in a couple of events.”
Anyone is invited along even if they don’t have any tree planting experience.
It starts at 10am until 2.30pm on Sunday, for more information visit swindonclimate.org/events.
