POLICE discovered a cannabis farm and arrested a man in Old Town after responding to a 999 call about a burglary.
Officers cordoned off outside a house on the junction of St Margaret's Road and Winifred Street for much of the evening.
A Wiltshire Police spokeswoman said: "We received a call from a member of the public shortly before 5pm today reporting a suspected burglary at a house in the Winifred Street area of Old Town, Swindon.
"Officers attended the scene and located a large number of cannabis plants inside the address. A local man aged in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis and has been taken to Gablecross police station for further questioning. Our enquiries are ongoing"
