THE borough council is offering advice and support for local businesses in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
It is part of a new campaign launched by the council last week called #HereForSwindon.
In response to the public health emergency, the government announced support for businesses including grants for those in retail leisure and hospitality industries.
A council spokesman said: “The council has identified businesses in Swindon which are eligible for these government grants and is now working to make sure these businesses receive the money as quickly as possible.
“Letters have been sent to these businesses and should have been received on either March 28 or March 30.
“Recipients of these letters should now follow the instructions given to access the money.”
Businesses can receive a cash grant of up to £25,000 per property.
