The Barclays bank in Westlea has closed until further notice.
The Rivenhall Road branch is one of two units in Swindon with the other located on Regent Street in the town centre.
Barclays called the closure necessary and it would reopen as soon as possible.
A spokesperson said: "We are working hard to keep our branches open for as long as possible so we can continue to support our customers. However, it is necessary to temporarily close West Swindon branch until further notice.
“We will reopen the branch as soon as possible and apologise for any convenience caused to our customers. The nearest branch currently open is at Regent Street, however, in the current circumstances, this may change.
“We encourage our customers to do banking online, by telephone, or by using the Barclays App. Customers should only visit a branch, or their local Post Office, to undertake essential banking when absolutely necessary.”
