STAFF at Abbey Park School have been helping in the fight against coronavirus by producing PPE for the Great Western Hospital.
The design and technology department have produced 200 visors for medics, having joined forces with Lydiard Park Academy at the start of lockdown to donate 600 pairs of protective goggles.
Dead of DT at the school Marie Stacey and teacher Brian Quant asked to create the visors using equipment and resources at the school.
Headteacher Jon Young said: “I’m very proud. They asked if they could take on this challenge and they managed to create 200 visors for GWH.
“We felt that we had the equipment to do it and we felt it was something we could do for the community.”
