POLICE are investigating the 'unexplained' death of a woman in Caversham.

The force was called to George Street at around 5pm yesterday (May 18) and found that a 54-year-old woman had sadly died.

A spokeswoman from Thames Valley Police said: "Her next of kin have been informed.
"An investigation into her death is underway and there will be an increased police presence in the area while further enquiries are carried out."
