VOUCHERS and prizes are to be won as part of a special scarecrow making competition launched in Gillingham.
Residents are being challenged to make a scarecrow using household materials and items, which can then be displayed in front of their home for passers-by to enjoy.
Prizes will be awarded to the best and most creative designs, with first, second and third places up for grabs.
The prizes for first place have been titled ‘Family Night In’, offering a £30 voucher for Gillingham Tandoori, half a case of wine from Yapp Brothers and a £25 voucher for Waitrose.
Entry costs £5, with money raised going to the charity Friends of Wyke.
Details about payment and the Just Giving page will be released shortly.
To enter, email a photo of the scarecrow by June 8 to office@gillinghamwyke.dorset.sch.uk
