A BROTHER and sister have combined their creative professions to sell postcards for the NHS.
So far illustrator Francesca and filmmaker James Mclean have raised around £380 by selling the hand-made, bespoke products, inspired by the Covid-19 pandemic and the work of NHS staff.
Francesa, who lives on the edge of the New Forest, began creating the cards in April, and after 48 hours around 250 cards were sold.
The postcard design celebrates and thanks all of the key workers across the UK, and can be sent to staff as a 'thank you' note.
James, who used his craft to make a short video advertising the cards, said: "We just wanted to utilise our skills to help the NHS.
"At first we were thinking about how we could do it, any help we could give was what we wanted to do, and we thought this would be a nice, different way of saying thank you [to the NHS]."
Each postcard costs £1, with 100 per cent of proceeds going to NHS Charities Together.
James said the funds should be channelled into stocking personal protective equipment and helping staff still on the frontline, adding: "People can write to other people who have been working so hard throughout this situation, and then the more money we can make the better. All of us will benefit.
"It's important that people know that 100 per cent of the money made goes to charity."
