A BMW driver had a lucky escape after crashing into a telegraph pole.
Police closed New Road in Royal Wootton Bassett late last night following the incident, which involved no other vehicles.
The driver didn't need medical treatment and nobody else was injured.
Officers had to wait for BT to make the telegraph pole safe before they opened the road.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "The driver didn’t require medical treatment and thankfully nobody else was involved.
"A number of people came forward at the scene to give their account of the collision but we’d ask if anyone else witnessed this and saw another car in the area or have CCTV that saw the incident to contact theWiltshire Police non emergency 101."
