BRIND Anthony James Passed away peacefully at home on 10th June 2020, age 92 years. Originally from Aldbourne, Tony lived a long and happy life. A devoted husband for 67 years. He is survived by his dear wife Margaret and was a much loved father to Valerie, Angela and Martin. Brother to Francis (deceased) and Ken. A cherished grandad to 5 grandsons and 9 great grandchildren. Tony was proud of his long career in the Wiltshire Constabulary as a Chief Inspector and Sub-Divisional Commander and was a life-long supporter of Swindon Town FootballClub. Special thanks to Pam Stephenson for her selfless care; to NISSI Care and their dedicated team, who contributed greatly to Tony being able to stay at home in his final years. Also a special mention to Elisabeth and Roger, his caring neighbours for 47 years. Due to current circumstances a private funeral will take place on Monday, 29th June at Kingsdown Crematorium. No flowers please. Tony will be deeply missed. He gave so much and asked for so little and will always be remembered with much love and great respect.
