A date is yet to be fixed for the trial of a Swindon man accused of murdering a dad-of-two in London’s East End.
Michael Hyde, 28, of Mistletoe Court, Okus, is due to stand trial alongside brothers Daniel Hyde, 32, and Jerome Thomas, 38, both of Gatcombe Road, east London, over the death of Leshawn Williams last year.
All three men have pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and possession of three offensive weapons: a knife, baseball bat and metal pole.
The three men are accused of murdering 29-year-old dad-of-two Leshawn Williams. Police were called to Hanameel Street at around 2am on December 21, with the man pronounced dead at the scene 45 minutes later. It was said he had been stabbed and beaten.
Their trial, which is expected to last four weeks, had been due to start today but has had to be adjourned due to the lockdown.
At a hearing at Croydon Crown Court earlier today, Judge Alice Robinson remanded the men in custody for a case management hearing on July 30.
