AN emergency meeting has been called for by Royal Wootton Bassett Town Council.
A motion to promote social distancing has been proposed by councillor Paul Heaphy and Steve Bucknell who want to discuss putting a five-point action plan in place
They will be discussing whether to reinforce the 2 metre distance at the High Street.
People could be encouraged to plan their shopping trip to avoid busy areas and times.
Removal of parking charges in Borough Fields Car Park will be raised along with relocating the taxi rank.
The councillors are hopeful to get Wiltshire Council to back the action plan so signage and queuing points can be put in place.
This meeting will be held virtually tonight at 7pm.
