SWINDON Croquet Club is wanting to expand to meet demand.
The club was started 35 years ago and currently has three full sized lawns but is looking to add three more.
It is asking for £250,000 from Swindon Borough Council's project budget to make these plans possible.
It will be part of the council's development plans for the Moredon Sports and Wellbeing Hub.
The lawns will also be used to host local, national and international tournaments.
A spokeswoman for the club said: "The Club has long been enthusiastically committed to supporting local community groups, providing adapted equipment to accommodate wheelchair users and partially sighted participants.
"The Club has requested allocation of £250,000 from Swindon Borough Council’s project budget of £3.5 million in order to bring its ambitious plans to fruition.
