TWO men have been arrested after a teenager was attacked in a park.

Police were called to King George’s Playing Field, in Rayleigh, around 4.20pm on Wednesday amid reports a 14-year-old boy had been assaulted.

The victim suffered a cut to his lip, bruising and damage to his teeth.

The suspects, described as being aged in their 20s, left in a silver van.

Officers later received reports at 8.10pm that a group of people had been threatened outside Bogaz restaurant in High Street.

One of the suspects pulled out of a knife before leaving the scene.

There were no injuries reported.

Police say two men were arrested on suspicion of affray and assault in relation to both incidents.

They have since been released on bail until August 3.
