The Central Library in the town centre will be reopening tomorrow.

But Swindon Borough Council, which operates five libraries in the town, has said it is only open for members to collect reservations and return books.

The library will be open three days a week, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, for four hours at a time.

On Tuesday and Saturday it will be open between 10am and 2pm. Thursday hours are 1pm to 5pm.

The other four libraries operated by the council will reopen later this month.

Reservations can be made as part of the new click, call and collect system being put in place.

The Central Library website says: "Use Click, Call and Collect and our experienced staff will select books from those available at your chosen branch, and do their very best to meet your requirements.

"You will be contacted when your books are ready to collect. We will issue them to your account in advance for 6 weeks. When you come to collect them you can also return any previous items."
