A paedophile pensioner has been warned to expect another prison sentence – after he was caught masturbating near an eight-year-old girl.

Peter Kis was out of jail on licence when he was spotted performing the sex act outside his home in Barnum Court, Rodbourne, on June 2.

Appearing before Swindon Crown Court via video link from HMP Bullingdon, the 88-year-old pleaded guilty to a single count of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.

It is said he was caught masturbating after watching two girls, aged eight and six, cycle passed his home.

Judge Jason Taylor QC remanded Kis in custody for sentence on July 24 and ordered a report from the probation service to look at whether the pensioner was a danger to the public who should receive an extended sentence.

He warned the man, who wore reading glasses and at points in the hearing stood up in an apparent effort to more easily follow proceedings, to expect a jail sentence. “Mr Kis you should be under no illusion that custody is coming your way, alright? But I am sure you understand that.”

The Polish national has a record of abusing women and girls that stretches back more than half a century.

Kis was first caged in 1967, receiving eight years for indecent assaults on two girls. He was given a suspended sentence in1971 after he was convicted of gross indecency with a child.

He was put on three year community orders in 1994 for gross indecency and indecent assault and in 1999 for indecent exposure.

In 2010 he approached two young girls on a bus in Swindon and touched them inappropriately. He then arranged to see them the next day to buy them clothes and was arrested at that meeting.

Four years later he groped a female member of staff in a supermarket, then pulled her hand towards his body, and in 2015 pawed a woman working in a chemist.

In 2018, aged 86, he was sentenced to three-and-a-half years behind bars for a sickening assault on a seven-year-old girl at a church.

He had grabbed the girl’s hands and rubbed them against himself during a service in July 2017. He’d denied the offence but jurors took little more than an hour to find him guilty.

During the trial, Kis claimed that although he attended services and handed round the collection plate he did not touch the girl. He said it must have been someone else.

Jailing the man in 2018, Judge Robert Pawson said: “You are quite unable it seems to leave women and female children alone.”
