TWO groups faced off and threatened each other with weapons in a skate park fight.

Police are investigating the disorder at Buckhurst Field and urgently appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

At around 6.15pm on Monday, two groups of a total of around 10 people confronted each other before some of them left the scene via Burghley Close in a dark blue car which they arrived in.

Police say that a number of weapons are believed to have been used by the two groups to make threats towards each other.

PC Jamie Brown said: “While we do not believe anyone was injured during the disorder, this was a serious incident and we believe a number of weapons may have been used.

"It happened at a time when there were a number of children playing in the park who would no doubt have felt extremely frightened.

“We would urge anyone who saw the disorder or those involved arriving or leaving the scene, or anyone who may not have been at the scene but may have information about those involved to get in touch.”
