Van in Penhill with false number plates may have been used for crime
POLICE seized a van in Penhill with false number plates after a tip-off from a member of the public.
Officers from the Stratton, Central North and West Swindon community neighbourhood team received information about suspicious activity while on patrol in the Penhill area yesterday evening.
Police identified a white van with fake plates and believe that it was involved in fuel thefts.
A spokesman said: "This vehicle has now been seized to prevent the users from committing further crime with it."
