THE number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the Swindon borough has risen above 800 after 22 new ones were added to the total over this weekend.
The figure increased from 778 to 792 between Friday morning and Saturday afternoon, then up to 801 by Sunday afternoon according to the latest available data.
There are 1,281 cases in the rest of the county - a rise of 10 cases since Friday.
No new deaths related to coronavirus have been recorded at Great Western Hospital in the last 20 days.
So far, 125 patients have died at GWH after testing positive for coronavirus - but no Covid 19 patient deaths have been recorded at the hospital since July 5.
