Libraries operated by Swindon Borough Council have reopened across Swindon today.

Initially only the Central Library in the town centre had reopened with a new click-and-collect system.

But now the remaining four libraries - North Swindon, Parks, Highworth and West Swindon - have followed suit.

Despite only reopening last week, the Central Library has already received more than 1,000 reservations.

A statement from Swindon Borough Council said: "From today, a Click, Call and Collect service will be available at all our five core libraries, including North Swindon, West Swindon, Highworth and Park libraries.

"Customers can reserve books online or by calling 01793 463238. Staff will then pick the books you have selected from those available and contact you when your books are ready to be collected. During collection, books can also be returned.

"Over 1000 reservations were made during the first week of the Click, Call and Collect service and our staff have received some wonderful feedback from local customers making use of the service.

"During your visit, COVID-secure measures will be in place and you will not be able to access the buildings' other services such as toilets, computers or study areas."
