AN ASSAULT in the early hours involved a man being attacked and thrown to the ground.
The victim is in his 50s and did not suffer any serious injuries when he was set upon by another man while walking along Curtis Street, near the junction of Cambria Bridge Road, at around 2am on Friday.
The suspect is described as white, approximately 5 ft 9 inches tall, and he was wearing a dark waterproof jacket which was pulled up to his nose at the time of the assault.
Police are investigating the incident and carried out house-to-house enquiries in the area.
Officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch.
