Temperatures in Swindon could hit 30C by mid-afternoon.
In what could be the hottest day of the year so far, the town will see a stable 30C heat from 1pm with a peak expected at 3pm.
This morning, temperatures will reach 25C by 10am. It could become cloudy later in the afternoon.
In London, temperatures could reach 34C by mid-afternoon with Bristol also seeing temperatures of 30C.
Across the rest of the South West, the Met Office is predicting some thunderstorms this evening saying: "Some thundery showers possible this evening, but then turning largely dry overnight with some clear spells at times.
"Light winds throughout. Minimum temperature 12C."
And when it comes to Saturday the good weather will continue but it will decline.
Saturday will only see highs of 22C in Swindon at 4pm with the lowest temperature being 17C at 9am.
Sunday will see a similar situation with highs dropping to 20C with even cooler temperatures in the morning and evening.
