Police issue warning after disposable barbecue fires
PICNICKERS have damaged bins at Mouldon Hill lake by dumping hot disposable barbecues in them.
Police patrolling the beauty spot discovered two bins had caught fire.
In a warning on social media the force said: "We don’t want to stop people enjoying the hot weather, but please make sure the BBQs are fully out before putting in the bin. This has caused a lot of damage and due to the hot weather could have easily spread."
