A TEENAGER will have to retake his test after being caught using his phone at the wheel-six days after starting to drive.
He was stopped by Dorset Police's No Excuse Team as they continue to crack down on rogue drivers across the county.
A spokesman said: "While responding to speed complaints we observed a vehicle where we witnessed the driver using his phone whilst driving.
"The driver was holding his phone with both hands texting away whilst travelling at 30mph.
"When stopped, the 19 year old male, who had only been driving for six days admitted using his phone.
"The driver was aware of the consequences of receiving six points in his first two years, and realised he had made a big mistake.
"The driver received a ticket for the offence - six points and a £200 fine, now faces re taking his test as DVLA will revoke his driving licence. Why risk it?"
