THE £150,000 renovation of a West Swindon office building's top-floor has led to new businesses moving in.

Serviced offices company Rombourne redecorated and refitted the highest level of Kingston House near the M4's Junction 16 to turn the open-plan area into spaces of different sizes which suit companies of two to 40 employees.

Centre manager Danielle Mottram said: "When we purchased the building, the ground and first floors were modularised and the top floor was retained as large open plan space for a single occupier.

“We refurbished the ground and first floors, but while we have maintained the top floor it has never had a complete refit before. Our latest client on the top floor moved out at the end of a fixed term contract, so we took the opportunity for a complete revamp.”

The top floor now has different-sized offices and an open-plan seating area with new carpeting.

Four companies have moved in: cyber security firm INTASO, Swindon Financial Services, Riverview Portfolio accountants, and Swindon Property Group.

Swindon Property Group director Jason Griffiths said: “We looked at many of the serviced offices in Swindon, and Kingston House appealed to us with its modern and fresh decor, welcoming reception and ample parking.

"Topped off by Danielle’s patience with our many questions, we are certain that the business has found its perfect new home.”

Alex Wilkie of Swindon Financial Services, added: “We liked the modern and welcoming feel to the offices, the meeting room facilities offer a professional environment for us to conduct client meetings, and given the differing sizes of the meeting rooms they can easily accommodate safe Covid secure environments for us to see our clients face to face.”

INTASO director Ryan Surry said: “We felt the level of service and professionalism shown by the staff combined with the quality of the office represented our brand in the way we wanted. This was a perfect fit for us.”

Danielle added: “We are getting an increasing number of enquiries, partly because the pandemic has led to more interest in flexible office solutions.

"Business owners are now reviewing their premises’ needs. Equally, working remotely has led companies to look at more flexible spaces to suit a new style of working along with our virtual packages.”
