Swindon Town have made two signings in one day after striker Tyler Smith signs on loan from Sheffield United.

The 21-year-old hasn't made any senior appearances for the Premier League side but has had loan spells at League One clubs Bristol Rovers and Doncaster.

Before the curtailing of the League One season, he scored one goal in four matches while on loan at Rochdale.

Smith said: “I’m delighted. I knew about it a couple of weeks ago now and I was just itching to get here and now that’s happened I just can’t wait to get started.”

“I looked at the club last season and saw how they dominated teams, scoring loads of goals and after speaking to the gaffer, the way they’re going forward, it suits me right to a T.”

“League One is a tough league, but I think we will be more than fine. If we stick together and work hard, the results will come.”
