DANCING Ledge near Langton Matravers has been selected as one of the top five picnic locations in the UK.
A survey carried out by retailer Cath Kidston found that The Dancing Ledge on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast came third in the UK’s most beautiful picnic spots, behind Lily Hill Park in Bracknell and Hampstead Heath in London, which was picked as the top choice.
A spokesman from Cath Kidston said: “The Jurassic Coast is one of the most stunning locations in Britain when it comes to natural beauty – but head to the Dancing Ledge if you’re looking for a location with a little bit of romance.
“Whilst this spot may be more of an adventure and take a little more time to get to, the sea breeze, cliff top views and the sound of the waves will be so worth it.”
Making up the top five was Ryton Pools Country Park in Warwickshire and Sherwood Pines, the largest public forest set within the great Sherwood Forest in the East Midlands.
