A BOY was stabbed in the arm during an attack in a North Swindon play park.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene in Blunsdon St Andrew at 6.30pm tonight after the teenager was wounded. He was taken to Great Western Hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
No arrests have been made and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Detective sergeant Catherine Price from Swindon CID said: "Our enquiries are at a very early stage but we believe the victim was assaulted in the nearby play area in Wallis Drive.
"People living in the area are likely to see an increased police presence throughout the evening while we continue our investigation and we would urge any witnesses or anyone with information to call us."
Anybody with information should call 101.
