Our camera clubbers grabbed their kits and pointed at the skies when a Second World War Spitfire flew over the hospital to share a thank you message to the NHS.
Weather conditions weren't the best on Tuesday and the fighter's schedule had to be changed. But the visit drew an appreciative crowd of enthusiasts as well as staff and patients at the GWH.
Owned by the Aircraft Restoration Company, the plane took off from Cotswold Airport, a former RAF base, and was on a tour of hospitals around the south west, including Chippenham and Trowbridge.
