A warrant was issued for a man accused of attacking another earlier this year.
Martin Macdonald, 39, of Whitbourne Avenue, Park North, had been due before Swindon magistrates this week to answer a charge he assaulted another by beating him on March 1 this year.
But when he failed to turn up to the court on Monday afternoon, magistrates issued a warrant for his arrest. The warrant is not backed for bail, meaning the police will have to put him before the court if he’s caught rather than readmit him to bail.
Macdonald was represented by solicitor Emma Hillier. Keith Ballinger appeared for the Crown at the short hearing on Monday.
