A ROAD has been partially closed after a water main burst in Swindon.
The incident happened at around 11:30 am. The A4311 has partially closed in both ways due to the burst water main from the B4006 Whitworth Road to Headlands Grove.
Traffic is building in the area and police have asked drivers to find alternative routes while the incident is dealt with.
We are urging drivers to avoid the areas of Elgin Drive, Headlands Road and Cirencester Way in Swindon due to a burst water main. Thames Water have been contacted about the incident.

A Wiltshire spokeswoman said: “We are urging drivers to avoid the areas of Elgin Drive, Headlands Road and Cirencester Way in Swindon due to a burst water main.
“Thames Water has been contacted about the incident.”
