A CHILD sex offender who abused a young girl, giving her money after one of his sex attacks, has been jailed.

The victim told her abuser Bashir Ntego after one of his sex attacks that she would 'pour oil' into his eyes if he didn't back off and if he did it again.

Oxford Crown Court heard at his sentencing hearing that the girl said of her ordeal: "It made me feel like I was an ant and he was a giant all over me."

Ntego, 43, of Turner View, Headington went to trial in July after denying three counts of sexual assault involving a child aged under 13.

After about an hour of deliberations jurors gave unanimous guilty verdicts to all counts.

During the case jurors heard that Ntego sexually abused his young child victim on three occasions in Oxfordshire and gave her money after one of his sex attacks.

After one of the assaults the child - who cannot be named for legal reasons - told her abuser she would ‘pour oil’ into his eyes if he did it again.

Speaking about her ordeal to the police she said the abuse made her feel ‘disgusting.’

Detailing the three sex attacks she said: "He touched me in places that are private and [it was done] forcefully and he said that I could not tell anyone."

She said that once she had woken up to find Ntego kissing her on the lips.

On waking up, she told police, she asked what he was doing and he made a 'shush' motion before leaving her.

In the second incident the girl said that Ntego tried to take her clothes off before placing a hand down her trousers.

She said that when she asked him why he had done that he gave her money before leaving.

The final incident involved Ntego picking her up and attempting to touch her.

She said that during this incident she told him to stop and she went on to threaten to pour oil into his eyes if he didn't.

He answered 'you don't have to do that' before leaving, she said.

It was also revealed that Ntego was previously convicted of sexual assault of a child under 13 upon two victims in Scotland.

Today, Dominic Thomas, defending Ntego, said in mitigation that his client had not committed any further offences since the abuse of the child, which ended in 2017.

He added that Ntego - who has three children - was a 'good father' and 'a committed father to his children.'

Sentencing, Judge Maria Lamb said that Ntego was a 'dangerous' offender and would be made subject to an extended sentence as a result.

Ntego was jailed for a total of four years and will be subject to a two-year extended period of licence upon his release.

He must also sign the sex offenders register indefinitely and obey a sexual harm prevention order, as well as pay a victim surcharge.
