A NEW Specsavers opened its doors in Stratton on Monday.

The opticians is headed up by optical director Dr Paul Ewah and retail director David Grieves.

The pair also run the store in Regent Street and have 77 years’ optical experience between them.

David has been at the wheel of the Swindon store since it opened more than 30 years ago.

Nine are joining the new Oxford Road branch from the town centre store, with three new positions created.

“Lots of hard work has gone into getting the store ready, and we’re looking forward to welcoming customers through the doors,” said David. “Our focus is on making sure both our staff and customers are safe so in line with NHS guidance, the team will use personal protective equipment and all testing equipment and frames will be thoroughly sanitised after each use.”
