A woman accused of breaching the coronavirus regulations by being pushed in a wheelbarrow will be sentenced next month.
Aleksandra Wojciechowska, 36, of Deacon Street, pleaded guilty to possession of a bladed article and two counts of assaulting an emergency worker when her case came before Swindon Magistrates’ Court this week.
Prosecutor Kate Prince dropped an allegation that the woman had breached the coronavirus regulations on April 9 by leaving the house for a non-essential reason, specifically to be pushed in a wheelbarrow.
But Wojciechowska admitted assaulting PC Craig Head by beating him and being in possession of an axe on the same night in April, when she was arrested in Manchester Road.
A separate charge of a sexual assault by touching, dated May 23, 2020, was withdrawn by the Crown. She admitted assaulting a female police officer on the same date.
Wojciechowska was bailed to appear before the magistrates’ court on October 28 for sentence.
