A CYCLIST threatened to attack two teenage boys with a knife unless they handed over cash then went on to threaten another man.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the two linked incidents in the town centre on Tuesday.
The man on a bike intimidated the teenagers in the underpass near Swindon Bus Station around 10.45am and went through their bags. Neither of his victims were carrying cash so he cycled off.
Later that day, at around 12.15pm, a man called the police and said he had been approached by a cyclist matching the description of the suspect in the earlier incident who threatened to attack the caller if he did not hand over his wallet.
This victim handed over £30 to the cyclist.
The suspect was described as a black man, about 6ft 2in, wearing a grey tracksuit and a black body warmer and riding a white mountain bike.
He was later spotted in Regent Circus at about 12.30pm
