POLICE have launched an investigation after a man suffered head injuries in an attack outside a service station.
Officers were called to an incident at the Esso service station on The Nursery in Devizes at around 10.20pm on Friday night after reports that a man had been assaulted on the forecourt.
South Western Ambulance Service sent crews to the incident and a man was later taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath for treatment.
Wiltshire Police says his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A spokesman said: “We were called to this address at approximately 10.20pm on Friday following reports that a man had been assaulted.
“Our officers attended, as did colleagues from the ambulance service who took the victim to the RUH for treatment – his injuries are not thought to be life-changing.
“Our investigation is continuing into the incident.”
