The streets of central north Swindon will be getting a lot cleaner now a new team has been hired to clean-up.
The Central Swindon North Parish Council has hired Idverde to take over the grounds maintenance that was originally organised by Swindon Borough Council.
A number of issues will be tackled by the new team but one of the key ones was the amount of litter being left in the streets.
Mike Ware, contract manager for Idverde, said: "There's a lot of flytipping, that's a big problem for us at the moment and litter in general.
"We're picking up some dilapidation on some of the hedge works too.
"It's the same across the country, when Covid kicked in a lot of the work that should've been done earlier in the season didn't get done.
"So that's our main focus over the next few months, to get everything back to where it should be."
Anyone that spots any issue should contact Idverde direct on CSNPC@idverde.co.uk
