POLICE  arrested two people after cash, cards and jewellery were taken from a house.

A man was charged in connection with the burglary in Homington Avenue, Coate, on September 29.

A 40-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary.

They were taken to Gablecross Police Station for questioning before being released under investigation.

Det Con Jared Yalden, of the Operation Fortitude team, said: “Burglary is a very distressing incident and leaves people feeling vulnerable within their own home.
“It is the role of Operation Fortitude to tackle these offences robustly and provide that reassurance by bringing those responsible to justice.
“This is another positive result for the recently formed team and officers have worked hard on this case since the incident occurred to charge and remand one suspect, secure these two arrests and our investigation remains ongoing.”

Anyone with information should call 101.
