A MAIN road near Greenbridge Retail Park is closed because of a gas leak.
Both lanes of Oxford road are closed between the White Hart roundabout and the Nythe Road junction.
The footpath over the roundabout is closed. The cause of the leak is not yet clear.
Fire service, gas engineers and police officers are working together to make the area safe. Drivers and pedestrians should avoid the area. Police described the gas leak as "major" and pledged to provide updates when possible.
