A LOCAL company you can trust has never been more important.

And sales manager Steve Wright believes that’s the key to the ongoing success of The Conservatory Centre in Swindon's Cheney Manor Industrial Estate.

“People want to stick with a local company that employs tradesmen who are local,” he said.

“The team I have working for me all live in the area, and some of them have been with me for 10, and in some cases, 20 years. We are well known and people want someone they can trust.

The team have made their showroom Covid-secure to welcome back customers, and have continued to have a busy workload.

“Throughout lockdown our work has been steady. We’ve been particularly busy with timber structures to the point where we’re now booked in to next year,” said Mr Wright.

“Lots of people were sat at home for 10 weeks during lockdown and I think it triggered them to think about garden work, which is why the timber side of the business is busy.

“I also think that a lot of people are now looking for extra ground floor space for a home office, as more are now working from home. Adding a conservatory or summerhouse is a good way to do that.”

And don’t be fooled by the name, there is more on offer than just conservatories.

“From a glass roof conservatory to a full-tile roof extension, we do everything,” said Mr Wright.

The centre’s range of products is expanding in the new year to offer an even wider range of options to customers, including new canopies and free standing garden set ups.
